Born in 1953 in Rivamonte-Zenich (BL, Italy) and graduated in 1976 from the Università di Cagliari in Literature and obtained a diploma in 1979 from the Archivio di Stato di Cagliari (State Record Office) in Archive, Paleography and Diplomatics, Specialised Diploma in “Sardinian Studies” from the Università di Cagliari (1980), confirmed researcher since 1981, substitute Professor in Paleography and Diplomatics at the Università di Sassari faculty of Literature and Philosophy from 1991 to 2001, associate Professor in Medieval History at the Università di Cagliari in the faculty of Science Education since March 1st 2002. Member since 2004 of the permanent Committee in History Conferences of the Aragon Crown; since 2007 member of the academic doctorate board in “ Historical Politics, Science, Geography and Geo- Politics” .

She has researched and studied the origins of political nature (Chancellery), economical nature (Real Estate) and laws of procedure preserved in Barcelona at the Aragon Crown’s Archive regarding Italy’s early medieval era. She dedicated her studies to the institutions, laws in force and regulations throughout the Aragon Crown’s reign, safeguarding interests for the Collection «Acta Curiarum Regni Sardiniae» in the edition of the Parliamentary Acts of the Kingdom of Sardinia, summoned in the XV century by the sovereigns Alfonso V il Magnanimo and Ferinando II il Cattolico (Alfonso the Magnanimous and Ferdinand the Catholic).

During the Italian christian shrine census project, promoted and coordinated by the École Française de Rome, she took care of the research and census of the christian shrines in Sardinia (cent. VI-XVI). At the time being she has the job of looking after an edition for the Italian Institute for Medieval History regarding “Royal Letters” by the sovereigns of the Aragon Crown to the city of Cagliari (cent. XIV-XVI): Lettere regie alla città di Cagliari. Le carte reali dell’Archivio comunale di Cagliari, I. 1358-1415 (Regesta Chartarum, 58).

She has participated in numerous national and international conferences, study conferences and seminars throughout Italy and abroad (Barcelona, Valencia, Lleida, Zaragoza,Trier).
