– Ph.D. in Diplomatic (1992).
– Associate professor of Latin Paleography (1992-1995) and then of Diplomatic (1995-2000) at the University “Federico II” of Naple.
– Full professor of Diplomatic at the University “Federico II” of Naple (2000-2003) and then at the University “Tor Vergata” of Rome (since november 2003).
– Member of the Ph.D. Committee on “Fonti scritte dell’antichità e del Medioevo” at the Bari University and then of the Ph.D. Committee on “Storia e scienze filosofico-sociali” at the “Tor Vergata” University of Rome (since 2011).
– Visiting professor at Ecole des Chartes of Paris (2011).
– Member of the Commission International de Diplomatique (since 2012).
– Member of the board of AIPD (Association of Italian Paleographers and Diplomatists) (since 2012).
– Member (since 1996) and then councilor (since 2009) of the Società Romana di storia patria
– Local coordinator of PRIN (1995, 1998, 2001, 2003).
– Chief of the degree course in “Archivistica e Biblioteconomia” at the University “Tor Vergata” of Rome (2005-2011).

Her studies concern 1) the history of notaries 2) the systems of production, use, preservation and transmission of medieval documents, 3) monastic documents, 4) municipal documents, 5) the relationship between writing and practices of government and administration in the middle centuries of the Middle Ages, 6) the chancery of Frederick II. She has also edited many medieval records of IX-XIV centuries about different geographic areas (Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Southern Italy).
